Brandolynn Pahcoddy – Anadarko High School ( Warrior Mart)
by Trina Walker
Softball brings out the competitive side of Brandolynn Pahcoddy. Winning a game for Anadarko High School, especially when it is against a rival is the best part of the game.
While winning feels good, Brandolynn always remembers the importance of having a good attitude. “‘Be kind to everyone, no matter what they look like or how they act,’ my mom always tells me this when I’m not being humble,” she said.
Being part of a team means helping those around you become better. “I love seeing me, and my teammates improve because when I’m not working on myself, I usually help them.
“Me and the girls connect on a level where it feels like we’re all sisters and I love that. Whenever we get mad at each other after a game, the next day it seems like it never happened and we always support each other even when it is just not our day,” she says.
A recent game against Chickasha is Brandolynn’s favorite memory. “I loved how competitive my team got and I liked how it rained while we played.” Moments like these happen thanks to the inspiration of God and her teammates.“They both give me so much motivation to do my best out on the field,” she said.
Former teammate, Rylee Hrbacek, left a big impression on her. Rylee was competitive, understanding and played a big part in helping Brandolynn improve herself.
Brandolynn started playing T-ball when she was six-years-old, and little league softball at eight. She loved it so much that before she knew it she had played throughout middle school and now into high school.
“I just want to thank my family and my coaches for supporting and pushing me through a bad or a good game,” they have taught her “it’s okay to make mistakes.”
Brandolynn is in a leadership class for student council. Her other talents include learning how to play the guitar.
