“Music motivates me the most,” says Fabian Sankadota, a senior at Anadarko High School. “Listening to my favorite music really hypes me up.” That simple but powerful routine has been part of his pre-game ritual, helping him excel as both a right tackle and defensive tackle on the Warriors’ football team. Along with football, Fabian also competes in powerlifting, showing his dedication to strength and performance across multiple disciplines.
His hard work and focus have led to a standout moment this season: “Going 3-0 into district play, showing that we aren’t the team they saw last year,” Fabian says proudly. It’s a testament to the hours he’s invested in his craft. “A lot of dedication and hard work,” he explains. “I have put in multiple hours of watching film, studying the playbook, and using my abilities to the fullest.”
Fabian’s biggest influence is his father, who instilled an unwavering work ethic in him from a young age. “My dad is my biggest influence. He always told me no matter what I do, give it 110%,” he shares. That advice has fueled his growth both on and off the field. In the classroom, Ms. Stone, a teacher at Anadarko, has made a lasting impact. “She has pushed me to be the best at what I do and has made me the instrumentalist I am today,” Fabian says, reflecting on the importance of her support.
In addition to football and powerlifting, Fabian is a member of the National Honor Society, balancing academics with athletics. His future ambitions are just as impressive. “After high school, I plan on attending a college of my choice and becoming an aerospace engineer,” he shares.
For Fabian, playing for Anadarko is deeply personal. “I have lived in Anadarko almost my whole life, and being able to play and represent for our town is an honor,” he says with pride. His message for others is simple but meaningful: “Don’t stay in the past—move forward and grow.” With a bright future ahead, Fabian Sankadota exemplifies the kind of student-athlete who makes both his school and community proud.
