Anadarko and Purcell will play for only the third time since 1989. The series began in 1922. The Dragons hold an 18-8-1 advantage over the Warriors all-time.
Pauls Valley and Anadarko meet for the first time since 2011, the Warriors have won six straight in the series with the last Panthers win coming in 1978.

OFFENSE
The Warriors enter this season ready to build off last season. Head coach Kent Jackson, who is in his 18th season leading the program, says that while his team is young, he expects their experience to be a big asset. “We bring back all of our starters but two,” the coach said. “And being so young, they will have a lot of playing experience under their belts now. We are looking to lean into that experience to help us have a successful year.” Quarterback Jakobi Tallent (6-2, 180, Sr.) will lead the offense. He will be protected by a strong offensive line. Guard Brad Neal (6-0, 250, Jr.) and tackles Logan Smith (6-0, 230, Jr.) and Fabian Sankadota (6-3, 275, Sr.) will work to keep the defense at bay. Joining Tallent in the back field are running backs Malahkie Beaver (5-11, 150, Jr.) and Troy Pendarvis (5- 10, 150, Jr.).
DEFENSE
On the defensive side of the ball, Anadarko will play a 4-4 defense and will work to force the opponents
into three-and-outs. On the front line, Neal will be playing at defensive tackle, while Adriane Ellis (6-2,
220, Jr.) and Caleb Shook (6-3, 180, Sr.) will both be playing defensive end. At linebacker, Myles Jurado
(6-1, 180, Jr.) and Malahkie Beaver (5-11, 150, Jr.) will look to keep their opponent’s running game to a minimum. Patrolling the secondary will be cornerback Napoleon camp (5-11, 150, Jr.). Another player that
coach Jackson says to keep an eye on this season is Zane Owens. “Zane is a dynamic freshman quarterback and free safety that may be able to help us already as a freshman on one or both sides of the
ball”. Assistant coaches this season for the Warriors are Shannon Watford, Colin Watford, Ray Headley, Jason Cunningham, Kevin Botone, Dakota Botone, James Paddlety, and James Sutteer.
